JPAS Import

The Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) is the Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance and access database.  The JPAS Import function provides the Security Manager with the ability to import clearance data directly into ISMS.

The report from JPAS is available as an Excel spreadsheet.  The JPAS Import module converts these data into a SQL Server database record and provides information regarding the variances between the ISMS data and the JPAS data.  All, one, or some of the JPAS records can then be inserted into the ISMS database.  This allows you to choose only those records you wish to be imported.  Once the import is complete, the JPAS records are presented with visual clues to their origin.  The existing ISMS data is NOT deleted or modified -- additional records are added.
